Frequently Asked Questions

  • How does scheduling work?
    • Employees hired on a New Lothrop/Flushing rotation work a rotating schedule called a modified Kelly (details below). Employees requesting a post truck position work 12 hour shifts. We complete this schedule on a week to week based on availability you turned in. We ask employees to turn in availability by the 15th day of the month prior to ensure the schedule is out in a timely manner.
  • What is a Kelly Rotation?
    • ​TTA New Lothrop, and Flushing utilize a rotation that is on-off-on-off-on-4 days off. This means you work an average of 9-10 days a month and average 56 hours per week.
  • What does low call volume mean?
    • ​Our New Lothrop station runs an average of 2-3 calls per day. With total turn around time lasting about 2 hours.
  • Will you work with Medic Class?
    • ​Yes! We highly encourage employees to complete continuing education classes to better themselves
  • Do you offer health insurance?
    • ​Yes, we offer Blue Care Network Gold plan. Employer paid 70%.
  • How many transfers do you run?
    • We currently only run 2 dialysis transfers with occasional transfers from surrounding hospitals.​
